Normally only good for standing around in snow somewhere, holding a beer, talking bollocks, watching their Riders participating at comps while frantically updating their Facebook, Twitter or/and Instagram feeds, are the much loved, under appreciated, almost jaded - yet, lets face it, superfluous – Team Managers. But not this time! Behind the murky shadows of prize givings across the globe, they have secretly been getting a couple of turns of their own, brushing off the cobwebs of long lost tricks, and returning to memories of past glories… they’ve turned it around and decided to challenge their own riders by forming a power packed, while a little rusty, team at the Vans Wängl Tängl 2012.
Style Training Day @ Laax
We are looking forward to see them Team up at the world’s premiere team event, with the highest anticipation of seeing them throw down – or fall down – as the case may be. There is likely to be tough contract talks at the end of the season if they put it on the ground and make it through the Quali’s in front of their sponsored team riders… Peetu Piiroinen, we’ve heard, is shaking in his boots – laughter or fear is the question one might ask….
When asked about the depth of his squad, if there were any reserves ready to come firing off the bench, Team Manager, Hasi, confidently claimed, “Yeah. Whatever… We are going with the A-Team here, no holds barred riding, pedal to the metal, in-your-face full frontal attack…!” He was quick to point out, “Strategically, we had the skills, we had the style, and we definitely held out own in the parties.” Coming back to the point, he said, “The only thing I’d say we’d have to reserve in the case of a little over motivation,” he concluded, “Is a blood bucket or two…”
One thing that has to be said is Team You’re Fired, it’s a team that definitely used to be reckoned with…
