DJ Phekt

DJ PHEKT
DJ Phekt has been around the homegrown hip hop scene since the mid 90ies; as the DJ for Kayo, Markante Handlungen, Fiva MC (Munich) and part of “Shakewell Sounds” – a project with DJ Dan. A couple of years ago he joined Trishes for the FM4 show „Tribe Vibes“ as host and DJ, where they supply the nation with fresh tracks and news on a weekly basis.
Phekt´s DJ sets are a dancefloor driven mixture of the freshest hip hop tracks, boom bap classics, funky rare grooves and reggae dancehall sounds.  Definitely party approved in Vienna, Munich, San Francisco, Tel Aviv, Novosibirsk or Mayrhofen!

FLIP & AVERAGE “Tuesday Classics”

“Tuesday Classics” that´s hat´s happening in summertime when FLIP (Texta) und AVERAGE (Die Au, Average & Huckey) take some time off from hanging at the local pool and get down in the Tontraeger Records Studio every tuesday to reflect on the golden era of rap music, by translating an american hip hop classic into german language. Every session would only last an afternoon including the reproduction of every original beat by Flip, the text writing and the recording. What started as a pastime weekly session, where humor was the key, was soon picked up by FM4´s Tribe Vibes hip hop radio show – which is aired every Thursday, so Phekt and Trishes could play a brand-new track each week throughout the summer of 2011. After 12 tuesdays the project was ready to be pressed on vinyl and released as a free download (http://flip1.bandcamp.com/). With songs like “Check the Rhime” of A Tribe Called Quest, “Bucktown” of Smif-n-Wessun, “Nuthin But A G Thang” of Dr. Dre and Snoop Dogg this show will definitely rock the opening party of the Wängl. Get your 80ies and 90ies shine on!

DJ DSL

Yes, D(J) S(uper) L(eiwand) hits Mayrhofen for the first time! An Austrian DJ Legend from day one, he was among the first to perform “a scratch” and held a whole nation of hip hop addicts breathless for his weekly mixes in the early FM4 days. First appearances in the hip hop quartett The Moreaus alongside Peter Kruder lead to the release of his first album #1 on the Kruder&Dorfmeister label G-Stone Records. Traveling between his residencies Vienna and Hamburg he influenced a generation of beat junkies all across Europe. In 1995 he was awarded “Best DJ” by the music magazine Spex. Hell, the man even layed down a few cuts for Falco´s album Data The Groove, enough said? DJ DSL will headline the first party of the 10gl, the FM4 Club at the Brück´n Stadl 17th March 2012.
